Picture My Life Cards

Image
After creating a few scrapbook pages using the Avonlea Picture My Life  I decided to use some of the cards included on some cards. I created a Birthday card and Welcome to your new Home card. For the Birthday card I used the CTMH Stripe Embossing Folder  with Smoothie cardstock. I also used some Silver Geometric Washi Tape  to provide added dimension. The house card I used Whisper cardstock that I inked with Cyrstal Blue. I cut the house out from the PML card and also added a small black epoxy bubble .

In the last Close to My Heart Idea Book they introduced Paper Fundamentals . They offer a basic pack which includes browns, blacks and grays. Each piece of cardstock is double sided. The Fundamentals are perfect to add to any paper pack to make your paper go further, or to use alone and create stunning layouts. I created this layout with the Paper Fundamentals, Sunset and White Daisy Cardstock, Sparkles Brown & Tan Assortment and a title card from the Avonlea Picture My Life. All the supplies can be purchased here .

I am a traditional scrapbooker and have been reluctant to try anything else. However, Close to My Heart has encouraged me to branch out. I have tried their digital scrapbooking program, Studio J , and now their Picture My Life program. I finally sat down and created some layouts using the Avonlea Picture My Life .  I LOVED the Picture My Life idea. I was able to quickly add pages into my traditional scrapbook album. I am a few years behind and also found some old pictures to go in a prior year but in all honesty was burned on on scrapping 2010!!! Picture My Life was my answer.  The Picture My Life bundles come with 10 memory protectors, 44-4"x 6" cards and 78-3" x 4" cards. The cards have designs, titles, quotes and plenty of room to journal about the pictures you are preserving. I also had plenty of cards left over to create traditional layouts and cards. (another blog post).  Here are the layouts I created:   If you

Lollydoodle Cards

I have thoroughly enjoyed playing with the Lollydoodle paper pack from Close to My Heart. Last week I created two cards. One for a friend's high school graduation and another just to make!   To make these great cards I used the Close To My Heart Artbooking Cricut Cartridge . For the "Dream" card I cut the circle at 3 1/2". For the "Creative" card I cut the card (page 42) at 4 1/2" and cut a second one in pear cardstock and cut it in half  to use on the inside.  For the "Dream" card I used the Wheel of Life  stamp with Blank ink and heavily inked the stamp and then continued stamping in a full circle with the ink getting lighter and lighter. I then had to fussy cut the arrow and I attached it with a brad.  For the "file card" stamp used the word Creative from the Wheel of Life stamp set and the Enjoy the Little Thanks.  I have a few more projects on the table for the Lollydoodle paper pack an
